About Us

Helping to Build a Sustainable Tomorrow, Today

At Metalunic, we are committed to playing a leadership role in sustainable manufacturing practices in the steel roofing and siding industry. Our dedication to sustainability is rooted in our mission to create durable, highest-quality building envelope products while minimizing our environmental footprint.

Environmental Responsibility

Energy Efficiency

We employ advanced manufacturing processes and state-of-the-art equipment to maximize energy efficiency. Our facilities are powered by renewable energy sources where possible, significantly reducing our carbon emissions.

Recycling and Waste Reduction

Our production processes are designed to minimize waste. We recycle 100% of our steel and aluminium scrap and use recycled materials content in our products, thereby promoting a circular economy.

Sustainable Sourcing

We source our raw materials from suppliers who adhere to stringent environmental and ethical standards. This ensures that our supply chain supports sustainable practices from start to finish.

Recyclability and Long Life Cycle

The vast majority of Metalunic siding and roofing products are made from steel, the world’s most recycled material. The steel used by our company contains about 15-20% recycled content and is 100% recyclable at the end of its long lifespan. Furthermore, Metalunic residential roofing products are much healthier for the environment versus the standard asphalt shingle. Only a small percentage of asphalt shingles are recycled, with the majority ending up in the landfill. In addition, asphalt shingles are a petroleum-based product, further relying on our need for fossil fuels. It’s easy to see how steel is a more sustainable material.

Metalunic manufactured products enjoy very long lifecycles compared to alternative products making them financially and environmentally efficient. According to the Metal Roofing Alliance, you can expect a metal roof to last at least 2 to 3 times longer than an asphalt tiled roof. A metal roof is expected to last 40 to 60 years, and beyond. In comparison the average life span of an asphalt roof is 12 to 20 years. That lifespan can be shorter depending on the pitch of your roof and the climate in your area.
